The Apex APX-OTN-10U is the highest-capacity chassis in the OTN and DWDM transport platform family, a 10U shelf for carrier core sites and high-traffic metro nodes. It brings optical add and drop, electrical-layer cross-connection and multi-granular service scheduling into one managed system, with 10G, 100G and 200G wavelengths on the same optical layer.
The 10U shelf holds 16 full-height service slots, or a mix of 4 to 12 half-height and 10 to 14 full-height slots, together with two 1+1 control slots, two 1+1 power slots and one system interface slot. Maximum power draw is 2500 W and the chassis measures 446 x 463 x 243 mm.
Line-side interfaces include OTU2, OTU2e, OTU4 and OTUC2, while client-side access covers GE/FE, 10GE LAN/WAN, 40GE, 100GE, STM-1/4/16/64 and OC-3/12/48/192. Super FEC extends 100G and 200G reach to thousands of kilometers without electrical regeneration.

The 10U shelf is the core-site option of the platform family. It holds 16 full-height service slots, or a mix of 4 to 12 half-height and 10 to 14 full-height slots, plus two 1+1 control slots, two 1+1 power slots and one system interface slot. Maximum power draw is 2500 W. It uses the same service-card families and management as the smaller chassis.
The platforms carry 10G, 100G and 200G wavelengths across core and metro rings, with integrated optical add/drop and electrical cross-connect for flexible service routing.
Service providers aggregate Ethernet, SDH, SONET and OTN traffic onto shared wavelengths, using 1+1 control and power redundancy to keep backbone links available.
High-capacity coherent wavelengths link data centers over regional distances, while super FEC limits the need for intermediate regeneration along the route.
Utility, transport and campus networks use the same chassis for dedicated transport of protected and low-latency services over owned fiber.
Interoperable with major optical transport and networking platforms. Client-side pluggable interfaces follow mainstream MSA specifications, and the OTN line side conforms to ITU-T G.709 and G.798, so the platforms integrate into mixed-vendor transport networks and existing management systems.
The optical layer transports 10G, 100G and 200G wavelengths together, and client-side cards accept GE/FE, 10GE, 40GE, 100GE, SDH, SONET and OTN signals in the same chassis.
16 full-height service slots, or a mix of 4 to 12 half-height and 10 to 14 full-height cards, plus two 1+1 control slots, two 1+1 power slots and one system interface slot.
446 x 463 x 243 mm, with a maximum power draw of 2500 W.
With super FEC enabled, 100G and 200G channels can span thousands of kilometers without electrical regeneration, which reduces the number of intermediate regeneration sites.
Management runs over SNMP with an in-band optical supervisory channel using the GCC0/1/2 overhead bytes, giving remote visibility of the optical and electrical layers from a central system.
APEX is a communication technology brand focused on optical transceivers, telecom synchronization products, and network infrastructure equipment. We provide products and engineering support for telecom operators, data centers, mobile networks, and enterprise customers worldwide.
APEX GROUP is headquartered in Hong Kong, with our core team and supply chain operations based in China. We ship to customers across Asia, the Middle East, Europe, Africa, and the Americas.
We are a brand owner with deep engineering partnerships. We control product design, specification, quality validation, and supply chain management. Our products are built to our specifications by qualified manufacturing partners, and we handle all testing, coding, and quality assurance before shipment.
Yes. We code transceivers to match the host platform requirements of major switch and router vendors including Cisco, Juniper, Arista, HPE, Huawei, Nokia, and others. Tell us your platform model and required OS version, and we will ship modules that are recognized natively by your equipment.
Datasheets, compatibility matrices, and S-parameter reports are available for all standard products. Contact our sales team or visit the product pages on our website to request documentation.
Provide us with your switch make, model, and OS version. We code the transceiver firmware accordingly before shipment. If you are testing for the first time, we recommend ordering a sample unit to validate compatibility in your specific environment before placing a volume order.
Switch vendors occasionally introduce transceiver whitelisting in new OS releases. We track major platform updates and can provide recoded firmware matching the new OS requirements. Contact technical support if your existing APEX modules stop being recognized after a switch upgrade.
Contact our sales team by email, WhatsApp, or WeChat with your part number and quantity. We will confirm pricing, lead time, and shipping options. For first-time customers, we typically recommend starting with a sample order to validate compatibility before scaling to production volumes.
We ship via DHL, FedEx, and UPS for express delivery, typically 3-7 business days to most destinations. For volume orders, we also offer air freight and sea freight options. We can ship on your courier account or ours, and we handle all export documentation.
Sample orders start from 1-2 units for evaluation. For production orders, MOQ varies by product type, typically 10-50 units for standard transceivers. Contact us for specific product MOQs.
We accept wire transfer (T/T) as our standard payment method. For established customers, we can offer net-term payment arrangements. Contact our sales team to discuss payment terms.
All APEX products come with a 3-year standard warranty against manufacturing defects. We offer advance replacement for defective units, shipping the replacement before you return the failed unit to minimize downtime. For full details, visit our After-Sales Service page.
